By exploring the psychographic Analysis on Weibo Users, we aim to build up a psychographic profile based on Weibo user’s metadata and word usage pattern. In addition, we explored about what Weibo can offer us in terms of insights about people and also its limitation.
The psychographic profile can help us to predict a user’s type and personality through their word usage on social media. Our intention is to show the correlations and relationships between user’s personality and their word usage patterns.
As the research assistant, my roles and responsibilities include construct Chinese lexicon, segment users' posts into words. write program for word frequency count, collect and analyse user data, implement a web service as part of a Weibo user psychographic analysis system.

 People who has the characterizes of Narcissism express less concern about money and work. People who seem to be more powerful like to talk more about money and achievement, use certain words, talk about insight, and maybe more organizable since they use more cogmech words. For people who are more traditional, they tend to express less concern about money and achievement, and they may talk less about people and themselves. |
